Afternoon and another warm welcome to the weekend. The forecast continues warm throughout the weekend but with the cloud cover it will not be overly sunny . Ipswich Maritime Festival takes place this weekend in the pool and on the waterfront. We have a club visit from the Fellowship Afloat with ten boats locking in on Saturday afternoon plus other boats that are booking individually. There is an open weekend at our new Shotley Lodge development showcasing the new apartments. Everyone is welcome to come along and have a look around. Your duty lockmaster’s this weekend are Colin ‘Biff’ Byford on day watch and Mark Taylor on the night watch. Finally a reminder to all our berth holders that we are holding our end of season bash in the Shipwreck on the 8th September. Please let us know as soon as poss how many places you would like to book.
