Ships Blog 7th Feb 2019

Afternoon folks. As most of you are aware we have been carrying out lock closure for the last two weeks. We were originally scheduled to open the lock tomorrow with flood down completed by midday. Unfortunately due to the current and forecast weather conditions we will not be opening the lock until Monday morning. This is because it is too dangerous to lift the five tonne stops logs from their current positions, with the forecast wind strength. Any queries please do not hesitate the Control Tower 01473 788982. Have a good weekend.

Ships Blog 3rd December 2018

So meteorological winter has now begun from the 1st of December and goes through to the end of February. However out there in the marina and the harbour it still feels pretty mild. I suspect if the past is anything to go by it will remain fairly dry and mild up to Christmas  with the colder weather hitting us in the New Year. Our new 40 tonne Wise Travel lift has now arrived on site prior to it being assembled this week. The new hoist benefits from better technology and has the facility for remote control and demonstrates our commitment to investing in new equipment for the marina.
