Ships Blog 24th February 2023

Quick update on lock closure for this year. Due to some unforeseen engineering work on the gate seals and some material supply issues, we are delaying opening of the lock until Tuesday 28th February. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. On other matters  as part of our new database implementation we have set up a new account/payment portal called ‘Paysafe’. This allows you to view your orders and account details etc and to make payments directly to us. A link to access your account will be available on any invoices that we email to you in future. Weather forecast for the weekend, cool with some sunshine, and possible isolated showers, usual mixed bag for this time of year!!

Morning and welcome to Fridays Ships Blog. Today is the Autumn Equinox i.e.  when the sun crosses the celestial equator and the day is split into equal periods of day and night, of 12 hours each. The clocks will be going back on Sunday October 30th. Forecast for the weekend, cloudy on Saturday, and scattered showers on Sunday. Winds staying in the north so the temperatures are beginning to cool further as  the week progresses. Just a reminder that we are now taking bookings for the winter lay up.

Lock closure will take place next year w/c Monday 13th February 2023 and finishes Friday 24th. Please make a note for your diary. Have a great weekend!
