Morning all and welcome to Thursday’s Ships Blog. The main item of news today is that we have a mini lock closure scheduled for Monday 14th March. The lock will close at 0800 and re-open at approximately 1100. The reason for the short closure is to inspect the No 1 Gate Sluice which appears to have developed a small leak after our main lock closure which took place at the end of January. Weather outlook for the weekend is courtesy of ‘Weather Online ‘Cold northerly winds bring wintry showers this weekend, and there is a risk of a further belt of rain and snow in western areas overnight into Monday. A gradual change to milder Atlantic conditions will develop into midweek, resulting in rain spreading in from the west. Late week looks unsettled, with risk of gales in north. ‘ So there you have it, have a good one!
