Morning all a short note to advise that this years lock closure will commence on Monday 1st Feb and finish on Friday 12th Feb 2021. As usual we will be servicing all the major components of the lock including the hydraulics etc. The area around the lock will cordoned off with Heras fencing and there will be no access to the public for safety reasons. The top gate of the marina will be kept open so the public can walk through and continue to use the public right of way as before. Finally we have closed the ablution block in the marina basin for refurb and spruce up ready for next season. The alternate facilities in the Shipwreck building will remain open for everyone to use. Rumour has it the ‘Beast from the East’ may return next week, watch this space!
