Afternoon all and hello from yet another windy Shotley Marina and Harwich Harbour. Winds currently building to around gusts of 40 knots with heavy rain. We expect it to peak between midnight and three o’clock tomorrow morning. However it looks to be remaining windy for the rest of the weekend probably not really quietening down until Tuesday when we get a bit of a lull. All the boats have been and will be checked by the yard crew and the lockmasters. Lock closure finished at lunchtime today with the last of the Stop Logs being removed at 11 o’clock. A special thank you to the lads, Gary, Andy, Craig, Baz, Mick and the lockmasters for all their hard work in some very trying conditions over the last two weeks.
