Ships Blog 17th November 2021

Afternoon all and welcome to a Ships Blog update. Firstly looking at the long range forecast for the next couple of weeks and we are seeing a couple of potential cold snaps on the way. Certainly by the last weekend of November it could be below freezing. Not sure though that we will see any of the white stuff. If you want any advise for winterising your boat please do not hesitate to contact our workshop manager, Martin Kendal. As some of you will have already noticed we have been carrying out some work in the marina basin area. This is to increase the area of hardstanding available for boats that are ashore. We have also taken the opportunity to tidy up some of the shrubbery etc. We apologise for any inconvenience during this period but can advise the work should be completed within the next couple of weeks. Finally to prevent dinghies and trailers being abandoned here at marina we will be introducing storage fees for both from January next year. A registration sticker will be issued on payment of the fee and any trailer or dinghy found without the appropriate sticker will be removed and sold with the funds going to the RNLI….
