Ships Blog 18/4/2014

Morning all and welcome to Good Friday’s Ships Blog. Forecast looking good for the next couple of days, plenty of sunshine however wrap up warm as the temperatures are still only in the early teens. Today’s wind chill is keeping the temperature around 6 to 7 degrees. Shotley Point Yacht club are holding their boat jumble today in front of the Shipwreck Bar and Restaurant. Also the Shotley Point Sailing Club are holding a table top sale as well, come down and grab a bargain! Plenty of people locking out this morning keeping our lock master Richard Ireland busy along with the new lock boy Sam. In the harbour the ‘Emma’ Maersk’ is tied up on Trinity 7 quay and we have had a minesweeper enter the harbour on the way up to Ipswich.
