Welcome to Thursday’s Ships Blog and a glorious day here in the harbour and marina. A number of boats from Shotley Point Yacht Club locked out early this morning for their cruise to the Continent. They included Mistral and Morgana heading initially for Ramsgate. Our intrepid Round Britain boat Alexandra II has left Portland and is on her way to Salcombe. Our other circumnavigators on Tante Helena have reached Peterhead in Scotland and are going anti clockwise. Tante Helena can be followed on Facebook whilst Alexandra II can be tracked via their blog on www.keepturningright.com through internet explorer. Forecast looking good for the weekend and into next week. Sea breeze already kicking in from the south at approx 4 to 6 knots and building.
