Welcome to Tuesday’s Ships Blog. Weather today warm with cloudy sun shine and the wind decreasing from a north westerly 4 to 5 to a force 3 or 4 probably going variable over night. Yesterday we had the Old Gaffers Association call in with some 24 boats. This is a rare but welcome visit from the association. There is no denying they bring something different to the marina with a whole host of different boats to be admired and pondered over. Lets hope they visit us again soon. Final reminder for the berth holders that the Shotley Point Yacht Club are hosting a talk by Stuart Carruthers and Gus Lewis from the RYA. They will be addressing current issues and the evening is open to all berth holders from Shotley Marina. The talk takes place in the function room of the Shipwreck on Friday the 29th of August at 7pm.
