Morning all and welcome to the Bank Holiday Ships Blog. Currently plenty of sunshine here in the harbour this morning and the forecast looking good for tomorrow as well. Monday however a little doubtful with some rain in the forecast, not un-typical for a bank holiday weekend I suppose! The week running up to this weekend has been particularly busy with visitors with everyone making best use of the good weather while it lasts. Today’s pictures are of the Environment Agencies survey boat ‘Seven Guardian’ leaving the marina on free flow and a bunch of old gaffers sailing past the marina on passage to the Orwell. Finally a reminder for our berth holders that we have our Autumn Cruise to Woodbridge Tide Mill Yacht Harbour on the weekend of the 27th September. Woodbridge Cruising club have kindly allowed us to use their facilities. There will be a BBQ with food provided by Shotley Marina and the Cruising Club bar will be open as well. Let us know in the Control tower as soon as possible if you are coming as spaces are limited. Have a good weekend!
