Ships Blog 23rd June 2022

Afternoon all and welcome to this weeks Ships Blog. Forecast for the weekend breezier than of late with the wind forecast to reach 5 to 6 southerly on both Saturday and Sunday. There may be the odd shower thrown in as well. Temperatures should be near normal for this time of year. High water Saturday 10:02am 3.58M and Sunday 10.54am 3.64M. Duty lockmasters this weekend are Marc Gilbert days and Richard (Whip) Whitby on nights. Harwich Festival of the Sea last weekend appears to have been a success with the parade of sail numbering eighty boats.  The marina was very busy with visitors  both on land and on the water. We also had the Ajaxes East Coast Championship going on at the same time, see the attached picture with the lock very full!
