Welcome to a bright but very cold Ships Blog. The new Harwich Harbour Ferry arrived recently by road transport. She was launched yesterday and locked out for her first sea trials. Judging by the hull colour I don’t think you are going to have too much trouble spotting her. Christian the owner hopes to be running by Easter with the usual service going between Shotley, Harwich and Felixstowe. Else where the outside waiting pontoon has been pressure washed by our lockmaster Rob and the Marina ablution block should be open again by this weekend after its winter refit. Lets hope the sunshine holds for the weekend!
