Ships Blog 26th April 2016

Afternoon and welcome to the Ships Blog. The weather has turned unseasonably colder this week. Back to woolly jumpers and lighting the fires to keep warm! Work on the Bed and Breakfast is nearing completion with carpets going in shortly and modifications to be made to the foyer entrance of the Shipwreck building. In due course a new website for the B&B will be launched for taking bookings etc and likewise the one for the Shipwreck itself will receive a facelift. The Harwich Foot and Bicycle Ferry is running again with details of times etc to be found at http://www.harwichharbourferry.com/ Other news, we have had an ex RAF Pinnace No 1380 sink in the marina when it was brought ostensibly for lift out of road transport. It has now been recovered by a specialist salvage crew. She is now sitting on our crane quay awaiting removal by the owner on road transport. Finally don’t forget May 21st and the Push The Boat Out weekend being hosted by Shotley Point Yacht Club and Shotley Sailing Club.
