Morning all and welcome to Wednesday’s Ships Blog. Cold and windy start to the morning, sunrise looking quite forbidding! Out look staying cold and windy over the next few weeks. Wind moving round to the East this morning and blowing around 18 to 20 knots, wind chill 3 degs C! Unusual visitor today in Harwich Harbour is the cable laying ship ‘Grand Canyon’. Harwich Haven Authority have advised us that they will be dredging our approach channel in the next week or so to maintain the depth at 2M below chart datum. Will keep you posted when this takes place. In the yard fishing boat ‘Jenny’ and sailing yacht ‘Penifold’ have been lifted ashore for winter storage.
