Happy New Year to everyone, hope you all had a good Christmas! The marina dredge is now well underway with pontoons and fairways B,C and D almost complete. On a few occassions the suction cutter has become blocked requiring downtime to clear the problem. The culprits have been cable ties, sponges and rags – food for thought next time we are working on our boats. The weather forecast is looking quite cold for the next few weeks so the water has been turned off on the pontoons to prevent any burst pipes. Our picture today is of the three masted boat that used to be anchored off Shotley for some 25 years. She blew ashore during a recent storm and has now been towed to Lowestoft to be broken up.
