Ships Blog Friday 9th December 2022

Morning all and welcome to the Ships Blog. Cold weather with some very low over night temperatures is forecast through to the end of next week with the possibility of some snow this Sunday. Because of this we are switching off the water to the pontoons for the time being until it gets a bit warmer. This is largely to prevent any burst pipes due to freezing. General forecast for the period is a relatively stable pattern with the winds predominantly in the North. The yard and storage ashore is getting full for the winter along with some commercial visitors as well. Tides this weekend are Saturday HW 12:12 3.84M and Sunday HW 12:47 3.81M. Duty Lockmasters are Marc Gilbert day shift and Richard Whitby night watch. Have a great weekend, wrap up warm and take care on the pontoons if you visit us.
