Ship’s Blog 9th April 2026

Morning folks and welcome to this weeks Ship’s Blog.

Just be advised that this weekend we will experience exceptionally low neap tides. This means that we will struggle with water levels in the Marina, despite our recent dredge.

Some deeper draft vessels could experience delays or go aground for a short period. High waters on both Saturday and Sunday may not even make three meters, which means that free flow is not predicted until next Tuesday.

We apologise in advance if this causes you to alter your plans in any way.

Have a great weekend

Morning all and a Happy Easter!

Forecast is a real mixture this weekend, with storm Dave going through Saturday night and into Sunday morning. It will also be noticeably colder on Monday.

For those of you brave enough to get down to your boat at the Marina – call in to the Control Tower and see the team for an Easter Egg, courtesy of us!

This weekend’s team are, Cassie Adams on front desk, Houston Bone is our  daytime duty Lockmaster and Andy Howard is seeing us through the night watch as duty Lockmaster.

Have a good weekend all 🙂
